John GreggJohn GreggJohn has been drawing houses, planes and people since he was a kid growing up on Air Force bases around the world. These images now live together, and occasionally compete with each other, in his often very large paintings.

John describes his work this way “All these images have coalesced into an image based language which describes ourselves as being at odds with our environment, a kind of self imposed displacement with our planet. The wonder and fear of those things we cannot control are central to my work.”

The juxtaposition of familiar objects with abstract landscapes draws you into a mysterious world that is equal parts comfort and apprehension.

We love John’s paintings and he’s a great guy too. He’s redoing his website right now so you will just have to take our word for it.
